We have launched a new team in Iowa. Jake Hartwell is on our development staff, and has decided to move back home. He will continue to service Orange County clients in the short term, and will focus on building up a client base in Iowa in the long term. He will continue as an employee of Click Consulting, and will help to spread our firm, values, and services to the mid-west. Exciting!

Google recently launched a service called GoogleApps. Google Apps combines many of their existing free services, like email, online spreadsheets, instant messaging and calendar. What is great about this service, besides the fact it is free, is that it can be branded for your company, with customized logo and domain. Full text for more info.

VOIP is Voice-Over-IP, and means using the internet to make telephone calls. There are many companies that have popularized it, including Vonage and Skype and many others. Microsoft has decided to enter this market, and is now rolling out its own VOIP server called Office Communications Server. Full text for more info.

The purpose of conditional formatting is to automatically change the format of any cell based on the value in the cell, or other cells. Read full text for more info.

Here is an inexpensive, easy way to monitor inbound employee email. Simply set up a new email address, like cc@yourdomain.com, and then have a copy of all inbound emails copied to that new address (use your hosting control panel to do that). Then, set up a computer that has Outlook on all the time, and have it check the cc@ email address.
