Adobe gave us a very slick collection of tools when they launched acrobat.com. If you have not checked it out, here is the run down of its free tools: web collaboration and screen sharing (like WebEx), document sharing and online word processor. Would you like to prevent data input errors from occuring in your Excel workbooks? Excel's Data Validation feature may be a good option. This 2 minute video introduces this feature and shows how to install and use it.
Google Voice is coming soon. What is Google Voice? Basically, you get a new phone number from Google (free, of course). Then, using Google's web based control panel, you can tell Google how to route and handle inbound calls. There is even free voice mail transcription! More details in the full text.
There is a piece I did for this month's Journal of Accountancy that demonstrates how to set up a server to serve applications to your employees. It discusses how to use Windows Terminal Server to serve applications to both onsite and offsite employees, providing them with a consistent and flexible desktop.
