Excel Pivot Tables are summary reports of transaction detail. They are probably the single best feature of Excel, and if you have never played with them, this video podcast will get you started. Pivot Tables are a huge topic, so we have decided to break this discussion into several videos. This is part one of many. I also recorded a version for Excel 2003 users.

Hey Jeff, I use pivot tables
Hey Jeff,
I use pivot tables a lot, but I did not know that you are able to group the dates by month, quarter, year just like you did. That will save me a ton of time!!
Thanks mate.
I've always heard of pivot
I've always heard of pivot tables but have never used them. They've seemed like some really complex feature of Excel, but you made them look easy. Thanks, I'll definitely be using them in the future.
Pivot tables made easy! It
Pivot tables made easy! It is really an impressive video. I had never tried pivot tables since I felt that they might be very difficult to understand and really speaking, was unaware the way they can be used for my work purpose. After watching this video, I got a good idea as to how such tables will be useful for me and how I should arrange my data to get the information at a glance. It makes the work easier as the data can be sorted month, year wise and so on and performance can be reviewed without complications.
