Secure Client Portals

Are you sharing sensitive financial information with your clients, customers, employees and partners via email?  How do you feel about that?  Do you feel secure?  Probably not.  This article will highlight one of the many secure portal solutions available.

There are three main reasons we love Leapfile.  One time exchange, perpetual portals, and uploads.  Let's chat through them briefly.

One time exchange 
Leapfile allows you to send a file to your client in a secure manner, essentially replacing email attachments for sensitive documents.  When you send a file one time to your customer, the file is not stored permanently in the portal.  Your client receives and email notification that a file is waiting for download.  Once your client clicks the link, he or she is prompted to answer a security question which you define.  In addition, the download occurs over a secure SSL encrypted connection.  This is a more secure way to send confidential data to clients.  In addition, LeapFile has an Outlook plugin, making their service very easy to use.

Perpetual portals 
If you want to make a document available in perpetuity to your client, simply store it in their portal (ie, their folder).  LeapFile's system is very flexible, and you can set up many users to access a portal, and many portals can be delivered to a single user.  You can set up several users for each of your clients if more than one person needs access to the documents.

Uploads 
When your client needs to send you sensitive data, or large files, they can simply upload them to you and when they do you are notified.  The beauty of the LeapFile upload feature is that it does not require a username/password login, and that fact makes it easy for your clients to use.
