Android is Google's cell phone operating system. Recently, Verizon Wireless announced the upcoming release of their Droid phone that runs Google's Android OS 2.0.
The Droid, by Motorola, has lots of compelling features. Since the iPhone is not available on the Verizon Wireless network, the Droid may perhaps be a nice alternative. The Droid has touch and a slide-out physical keyboard. Plus all of the other cool stuff you would expect like web browsing, email, social networking, thousands of apps, gps, navigation, text, IM, replaceable battery, Wifi, 16 gigs of storage, 5MP camera, media player, support for Microsoft Exchange, support for Google Voice, and more.

I don't know about you, but I am anxious to check out this new phone!
