Summary:  Bill provided a dynamic and inspirational presentation on effective use of CRM in CPA firms.  He started by introducing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) concepts, then showed how CPA firms can use CRM to better serve existing clients, and then provided a short demonstration of the Kyliptix CRM online software.  Prices begin at $19.95 per month.  He showed how CPA firms already do CRM during their sales cycle, however, generally it is unstructured as some client notes are saved in Outlook, some are saved to the network drive, and some are retained in Quickbooks or Lacerte.  With a structured CRM system, all client correspondance and notes are retained in a single structured application.  In addition to helping organize notes about clients, tasks, due dates, recurring events, and projects, CRM can help to reach out to clients by using email campaigns for newsletters, reminders of upcoming filing deadlines, tax tips, and so on.  This was an inspirational and informative presentation.  I would highly recommend Bill to other CalCPA chapters looking for a presentation on CRM and CPAs.
