Disaster Recovery

We can help implement and manage your disaster recovery plan.  This is a topic which many people want to ignore.  They don't want to take the energy to plan for some potential disaster.  Unfortunately, it is too late to do anything about it after the disaster.

You ask, "what are the chances that our entire office will be hit by a flood?"  And, since you answer, "almost no chance," you feel comfortable ignoring it.  However, per discussion with the local police and our insurance carrier, the number #1 disaster you'll need to recover from is theft.

It is called the "smash and grab."  The thieves smash your windows, take only computer hardware, and are out within 2-5 minutes.  Far too quickly for your alarm company to call and dispatch the police.  We've had several clients that have had all of their computers stolen.  Fortunately, we had a good disaster recovery plan in place and had them back up and running quickly.

If you don't feel like addressing this issue yourself, or are overwhelmed with the options, that is fine.  But don't ignore it.  We are here to help.  We can come in and take care of your disaster recovery plan for you.  We will set up two backups that run each night.  One will be onsite in your office.  The other will be an offsite backup, either to your branch office or home, or to our trusted online backup service provider.

Actually, we wrote an article on backups that was published in the Orange County Lawyer Magazine called Bulletproof Backups, and please feel free to check it out.
