We know that different companies have different needs. Some of our clients want us to be "on call," and only help them out "as needed." Which we do. However, many clients prefer that we actually manage their network and take a more proactive role in keeping their servers and computers up and running.
We refer to a Managed Network as one that we sort of "adopt," and take responsibility for. We ensure all of the security patches are installed, the disk space is sufficient, the firmware of your network devices are updated, your anti-virus software subscriptions are current, your email defense subscription is up to date, and more. In addition to watching all of the network devices and your servers, we assign a dedicated tech and put you into his schedule with a recurring scheduled visit. This can be weekly, or bi-weekly depending on the size of your network. We've found that when your employees know that our tech will be there on a regular basis, they are less likely to try doing IT work on their own. Which we've discovered to be a good thing, leaving the IT work to us freeing the employees to do their work. In addition, since we have a presence in your office, we are able to spot issues early and prevent downtime (which is better than reacting to an emergency situation, which is stressful).
